Whether designing for User Interface/User Experience or publication and print, I focus on the foundations of typography, layout, color theory and in the case of UI + UX, facilitating users to accomplish their specific tasks.
I enjoy designing in the browser with the foundational technologies the web is built upon (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) to create responsive user interfaces, reusable components and design patterns.
The purpose of UI + UX design is to help users accomplish the task they want to achieve by visiting a specific website or using a piece of software. This is my focus in developing intuitive design systems that don’t require users to have to think too much.

With my education and background in graphic design I've enjoyed the opportunities to design publications and brand identities on the local and national level.
As my career advanced, I fell in love with the web, responsive design and designing in the browser. I have a passion for learning and creating clean, maintanable code and design systems to create intuitive user interfaces while following user experience and accessiblity best practices recommended by the likes of the Nielsen Norman Group and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines for Accessibility of Rich Internet Applications (WCAG-ARIA).
